The staff here at Dental Associates of Lancaster are always working to prevent infection. We do this a number of ways, including wearing gloves and face masks, washing our hands thoroughly with disinfectant soap, sterilizing all equipment, and using disposable instruments.
To sterilize equipment, we use an autoclave that disinfects items using a powerful combination of heat, pressure, and steam. Doing this kills most bacteria and viruses so you leave here healthy with a healthier mouth, cleaner teeth, and a positive attitude.
No matter what procedures we perform in our office, you must make sure to take care of yourself and your mouth when you get home. Daily brushing and flossing are absolutely necessary for optimal results.
